I am producing a web show called Life with Flow where I collaborate with NYC writers and filmmakers to create short films.
IN THE WORKS: LE MARECHAL ET L'ASTRAGALE, documentary feature film |
This is my first documentary film. My father is a farmer and knows how to heal cows' feet so they don't have to be sent to the slaughterhouse. How ironic is it that the foot specialist, providing "pedicures", has a limp himsel?. This is a dorway into today's challenges of farming.
What happens when the tradition to pass on the farm to the sons vanishes? Who will be taking care of the countryside and maintaining its landscape? What if you wanted to become a farmer?
On the other side, it introduces some of the difficulties farmers are experiencing in today's economy and advocates the support to worker-owned farms.
WATER PROJECT NY is a science/choreography collaboration offering a multi-support transmission of knowledge to urban New York City audiences. The purpose of the project is to dispel the misconceptions of the audience about the environment and to educate them about consumerism, greenwashing and avoidable patterns of consumption. Collaboration between Floanne Ankah and Piotr Mirowski.
Floanne Ankah often uses "soundscapes" that she edits as a frame for choreography:
